Pay: In the range of £200 GBP - £350 GBP gross per day (depending on experience & professional background)
Duration: 31 st October 2025 (with possibility of extension)

UK-Med is a humanitarian NGO that has been responding to disasters for thirty years. We train medical teams, both in the UK and worldwide, so they are ready to respond when epidemics, conflict and natural disasters hit.
We are seeking a number of health professionals to join us as part-time Health Referents for our new remote TeleHealth and Capacity Building project in Sudan. The REACHES Referents will be coordinated by UK-Med’s Health Advisor for TeleHealth and will contribute to the provision of specialist advice and peer-to-peer support directly to Sudanese clinicians in two pre-identified health facilities on an ad hoc basis. The REACHES Referents will be part of a pool of clinical specialists to draw on for weekly MDT sessions across the two facilities, and will be subject matter experts in their respective field of practice.
The REACHES Health Referents will bring specific technical expertise in a variety of health fields to ensure that clinicians and allied healthcare workers in the two Sudanese facilities receive professional development, specialist advice, continuous support and professional sparring, ultimately ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.

Our ideal candidates will be highly skilled health professionals with experience of humanitarian health responses and delivering healthcare services in low resource environments. You will be available to contribute to online reach-back sessions and capacity building activities as requested. For some roles, this is anticipated to be 1-2 times a month and others may be less than this. You will be passionate about improving health services in Sudan, and flexible to deliver advice and input remotely, testing new tools and adaptable to a changing context.
