Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting a REACH Compliance Manager to support chemical regulatory compliance and HSE activities within a leading engineering and aerospace environment. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be a key contact for REACH matters and represent the local site within the wider REACH team.

You will collaborate with the REACH team to identify risks, support regulatory compliance, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• Experience with REACH / chemical compliance is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Organised, analytical and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in regulatory affairs is a must.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between the local site and the UK REACH Manager.
• Provide support, information and updates to the wider REACH team.
• Represent the local site within REACH meetings and activities.
• Support the REACH Manager with their responsibilities.
• Identify and assess REACH-related risks and potential issues.
• Work with the local Risk Management team to reduce and manage risks.
• Support the HSE Manager with wider HSE-related tasks and activities.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a REACH Compliance Manager to support chemical regulatory compliance and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) activities within a leading engineering and aerospace environment. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will act as a key point of contact for REACH matters, supporting the REACH Manager and representing the local site within the wider REACH team.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between the local site and the UK REACH Manager.
• Provide support, information and updates to the wider REACH team.
• Represent the local site within REACH meetings and activities.
• Support the REACH Manager with their responsibilities.
• Identify and assess REACH-related risks and potential issues.
• Work with the local Risk Management team to identify ways to reduce and manage risks.
• Support the HSE Manager with wider HSE-related tasks and activities.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in REACH / chemical compliance / environmental compliance who is comfortable working with different teams and managing information. You will need to be organised, analytical and able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Key Skills

• Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
• Experience of working within the chemical industry or authorities; experience in regulatory affairs is a must
• Extensive knowledge of UK/EU policy on Chemicals, especially REACH
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
• Strong capacity to communicate with people with different technical backgrounds
• Ability to lead discussions and build consensus
• Strong analytical and organisational skills Excellent English (written and spoken)
• Adaptability to work to tight deadlines and to handle multiple priorities
• Eager to learn and develop new skills
