FLT Reach Truck Driver
Pay: 13.68ph
Location: Skelmersdale
Shifts: 12pm-8pm
Days: Monday-Friday

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Reach truck operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate machinery safely.

Responsibilities

  • Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring that all items are stored correctly to prevent damage.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and managing stock levels.
  • Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during all operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in forklift operation within a warehouse or similar environment is essential (minimum 2 years)

  • Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, along with basic maths skills for inventory management.
