A large manufacturing business in Chester is seeking a Stores Person / FLT Driver for a temporary position, with potential for permanent placement.   • Prepare and pack goods for despatch, ensuring correct documentation.
  • Maintain security and safety of all materials stored.
  • Support the Stores and Despatch Manager across two factory sites.
  • Participate in regular stocktakes.
  • Perform general stores duties including picking, packing, and issuing stock.

Job description

Job Title: Stores Person / FLT Driver
Location: Chester
Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm, Friday 7:00am-11:00am
Contract: Temporary - potential for permanent placement

We are working with a large manufacturing business based in Chester to recruit an experienced Stores Person / FLT Driver on a temporary basis.

Requirements:

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance and Reach licences (essential)

  • Previous stores/warehouse experience

  • Confident using Excel and booking systems

  • Good understanding of stock control and health & safety practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and book in all incoming goods and internal deliveries

  • Control and maintain accurate stock levels

  • Prepare and pack goods for despatch, ensuring correct documentation

  • Maintain security and safety of all materials stored on site

  • Support the Stores and Despatch Manager across two factory sites

  • Participate in regular stocktakes

  • General stores duties including picking, packing, and issuing stock
