Job summary

Avon Search in Bournemouth is hiring a Reablement Assistant for a full-time, day-centre based role. Shifts are 7:00am–2:30pm or 3:00pm–10:30pm, five days out of seven, including weekends. It offers on-the-job training, support to gain NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and a pathway toward the Care Certificate.

You will help clients with daily living activities, promote wellbeing and support rehabilitation and independence in a friendly, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required
• Full training and induction provided
• Progression and development opportunities including NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centred support within the day centre
• Assist with personal care needs (washing, dressing, toileting)
• Support mobility, transfers and daily activities after training
• Encourage clients to build confidence and independence
• Assist with rehabilitation and reablement goals
• Help with practical tasks such as drinks and light meals
• Support clients with medication after training and competency checks
• Maintain accurate care records and document changes in health or wellbeing
• Promote dignity, privacy and independence
• Work collaboratively as part of the care team

Bournemouth. Full Time – Day Shifts – 40 Hours Per Week. Shifts: 7:00am – 2:30pm or 3:00pm – 10:30pm (5 days out of 7, including weekends). £13.52 Per Hour – Weekdays | £16.31 Per Hour – Weekends.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a caring and motivated Reablement Assistant to join a specialist day centre and intermediate care service in Bournemouth.

This welcoming service provides short-term rehabilitation, reablement and personalised support to individuals who require assistance to regain confidence, improve independence and achieve their personal goals. Working within a supportive day centre environment, you will help clients maintain their daily living skills, promote wellbeing and support their journey towards greater independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a rewarding career in health and social care, as no previous experience is required. Full training and support will be provided to help you develop the skills needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

As a Reablement Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting individuals with their daily routines, mobility, personal care and rehabilitation goals. You will encourage independence, promote dignity and work alongside an experienced team to help clients achieve positive outcomes.
