Teacher of Religious Education - Secondary School - Stockport

Location: Stockport
Start Date: September 2025
Position Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract for 1 year maternity cover.
Salary: 31,650.00 - 49,084.00

About the Role:
As a Teacher of Religious Education, you will be responsible for teaching engaging and thought-provoking lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You'll be helping students explore a range of world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical questions in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will have:
- A clear passion for Religious Education and an ability to inspire and challenge students
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to tailor lessons to suit a range of learning abilities
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A commitment to contributing to the wider life of the school and fostering a positive learning environment

About You:
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Religious Education or Humanities at KS3 and KS4 (or a strong ECT background)
- A love for fostering critical thinking and encouraging students to engage with complex ideas
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
