Job summary

Justteachers Ltd in Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school from September. This is a full-time, temporary position through to Christmas, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (KS3 & KS4).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

• Plan and deliver RE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Engage students in discussions around religion, philosophy and ethics.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Contribute to departmental planning and school initiatives.
• Uphold school behaviour policies and maintain high standards of conduct.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents and carers as required.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of religions and ethical topics
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A passion for education and student development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
