RE Teacher

A 'Good' graded comprehensive school and sixth form in Maidstone are seeking a RE Teacher to join their department for a September 2025 start. This is a permanent, full-time contract. TLR options are available for experienced RE Teachers looking to progress their careers.

The Head of Religious Education is looking for an ambitious RE Teacher with a hard-working attitude who can contribute to the running of the RE department with their ideas and own research. The school has just under 1000 students, boasts excellent facilities, offers great career progression and CPD, and has excellent student behaviour. The school is renowned for its supportive SLT, impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects, and strong KS5 results leading to Oxbridge placements. This is an exciting opportunity for a RE Teacher to join the school.

• Salary: £31,650 - £49,084

Person Specification - RE Teacher

• Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining it
• Strong academic background - Degree, A Levels, GCSEs
• Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
• Good subject knowledge in Religious Education
• Willingness to listen to feedback
