Job Title: RE Teacher

Salary Range: £38,766 to £60,092 per annum (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in Tower Hamlets. This is a permanent role starting in September 2025, offering a great opportunity to teach and inspire students in an encouraging learning environment.

About the Role

As an RE Teacher, you will help students understand different religions, beliefs, and values. You will create thoughtful lessons, encourage respectful discussions, and support pupils personal growth. The school values teamwork, kindness, and a calm approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Religious Education.
• Support students in understanding faith, ethics, and moral values.
• Create a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Mark work and give helpful feedback to support progress.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to support all learners.
• Manage classroom behaviour in a calm and consistent way.
• Work with colleagues to improve teaching and learning in the department.

Job Requirements:

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Religious Education is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the RE curriculum.
• Able to plan clear and interesting lessons.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• A kind and respectful attitude towards students and staff.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
