Are you a passionate and reflective RE Teacher ready to inspire young minds with critical thinking and cultural understanding?

GSL Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Chapeltown (S35) starting in September 2025. The successful candidate will bring creativity, respect, and academic rigour to the Religious Education curriculum across Key Stages.

Key Responsibilities of the RE Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Encourage open discussion, tolerance, and understanding of world religions and beliefs.
  • Support students’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through enrichment and extra-curricular activities.

Requirements for the RE Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching RE at any Key Stages.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to foster critical thinking.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
