GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable RE Teacher to join a welcoming school in the Stocksbridge area of Sheffield. This offers the opportunity to inspire young learners and foster understanding of world religions and moral issues.

Role Overview:
As an RE Teacher, you will deliver lessons across Key Stages, encouraging pupils to develop critical thinking, empathy, and cultural awareness through the study of religion, philosophy, and ethics.

Responsibilities as an RE Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support achievement.
• Promote respectful discussion and inquiry into different faiths and ethical perspectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the RE curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and effective classroom management.

Requirements for RE Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
• Degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject is desirable.
• Experience teaching RE at school level.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
