An established industry player is seeking a dedicated administrative support professional to enhance the operations of its Nursing and Surgical Technology programs. This part-time role involves a variety of responsibilities, including maintaining student records, assisting with clinical onboarding, and providing secretarial support to faculty. This position will be available on May 2, 2025. Part-time, up to 25 hours per week. This position will remain open until filled, or at the discretion of Great Bay Community College.
CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
Provides administrative and technical support for the Nursing and Surgical Technology academic programs. This position reports to the Department Chair of Nursing and Surgical Technology at Great Bay Community College.
Education: High School diploma or educational equivalency. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of work experience.
Experience: Five years of secretarial or administrative support experience.
License/Certification: None required.
Computer proficiency with PC-based Microsoft Office applications and database management software.
Knowledge of business English. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Ability to use a variety of office machines. Ability to properly compose a variety of correspondence with only general instructions. Ability to assign, direct and oversee the activities of individuals performing similar work. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts to identify existing or potential problems. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to address matters with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality. Ability to problem-solve independently and collaboratively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by management.
