A prestigious NHS Trust is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to join their department. This role, commencing in October 2025, offers a unique opportunity to develop clinical and surgical skills specializing in Skin Oncology, with a focus on transitioning candidates to independent practice. Successful applicants must be GMC registered and hold the necessary qualifications for this highly rewarding position.
The appointment is to commence in October 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months. A FRCS (Plast) or equivalent is essential. The post does not award a National Training Number. As this post is not recognised as a 'training post', full registration with the GMC with a licence to practise is required, and if the appointee does not hold right of residence in the UK sponsorship will be required. The duties of this post are appropriate to an individual holding a Certificate of Completion of Training in Plastic Surgery

The post is ideal for candidates wishing to pursue a career in Plastic Surgery with a subspecialty interest in Skin Oncology with an aim of supporting candidates transitioning from supervised trainee to becoming an independent and confident consultant colleague. There are significant opportunities within the Plastic Surgery department to expand on clinical, operative, educational and academic skills which will assist candidates in becoming well rounded Surgical Skin Oncologists.
