Job Description:

The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for a Raw Materials Warehouse Operator with an FLT counterbalance license to join our client's team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly! Temp to perm contract!!

Rate of pay: £12.21ph
Hours of work: DAYS Monday to Friday 7.30am-3.30pm shifts
Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks, provided the candidate meets performance and job criteria below.

Purpose of the role:
To ensure raw materials and parent reels are unloaded, stored, and handled in compliance with work instructions and safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Unload incoming goods from vehicles and record all necessary paperwork.
  • Conduct visual inspection of all incoming loads to ensure they match the paperwork.
  • Perform quality checks on all incoming goods.
  • Transport goods using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store them in the correct storage bay.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
  • Operate FLT / Clamp trucks safely and efficiently, meeting productivity and quality expectations.
  • Transport reels and raw materials from the warehouse to production stations.
  • Identify and report any product damage or quality issues.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report faults.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning according to work instructions.
  • Carry out periodic stocktaking activities.
  • Optimize warehouse space.
  • Transport parent reels from paper mill production area to warehouse if needed.
  • Collaborate with the Day Services and Shift teams.
  • Support colleagues and carry out other reasonable requests as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the working area.
  • Adhere to health & safety rules.

Requirements:

  • Hold an FLT counterbalance license (preferably RTITB accredited; in-house licenses accepted).
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team and individually.
