Job summary

The Flavour Network has partnered with a well-established food manufacturing business to recruit a Raw Materials Coordinator on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role focuses on reviewing, assessing and maintaining raw material specifications to ensure incoming materials meet customer and technical requirements.

You will work with suppliers, production, commercial and technical teams to drive improvements in material quality, manage supplier performance and support audits across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
• Strong understanding of raw material quality, specifications and compliance requirements.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills, including reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming raw materials against specifications to ensure compliance.
• Maintain and update supplier specifications with the technical team.
• Ensure materials meet customer, technical and business requirements; assess quality and monitor production.
• Report findings and trends to Technical, Commercial and Operations teams.
• Build supplier relationships based on compliance and collaboration.
• Manage non-conformances with NCRs and supplier rejection notices.
• Support supplier visits, audits and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide guidance to production on specifications and quality standards.
• Produce regular reports, KPI tracking and trend analysis.
