Job summary

Greencore is seeking a Raw Material Quality Auditor on a fixed-term basis at our Old Leake site near Boston, Lincolnshire. You will monitor the quality of incoming materials and packaging, ensuring supplier compliance with QMS, GMP and HACCP standards.

The role focuses on accurate record-keeping, timely communication of non-conforming materials, and driving continuous improvement. Working on-site, you will engage in audits, KPI monitoring and supplier collaboration to minimise risk and protect

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and raw material assurance.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and applying QMS, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Ability to assess raw materials and packaging against specifications with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming raw materials and packaging against specifications and approved supplier standards.
• Communicate out-of-specification materials promptly to minimise operational impact.
• Maintain accurate, real-time records and identify anomalies in documentation.
• Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc sampling, reporting results and following corrective actions to closure.
• Monitor KPI performance, supporting investigations and audits.
• Participate in internal, customer and group technical audits to ensure compliance with QMS, GMP and HACCP.
• Identify and escalate non-conformances, recommending improvements and root-cause analysis.
• Manage supplier interactions, ensuring non-conformances are addressed and root causes resolved.
• Investigate customer complaints, maintaining traceability and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Promote health, safety and compliance, reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this busy and dynamic role, you will ensure customer, business and legal requirements for raw materials and supplier quality assurance are consistently met by monitoring and assessing the quality of all incoming raw materials, including packaging.

Role Accountabilities

• Assessing incoming raw materials and packaging against specifications and approved supplier standards

• Participating in internal, customer and group technical audits to ensure compliance with QMS, GMP and HACCP

• Managing supplier interactions, ensuring non-conformances are addressed and root causes resolved
• Investigating customer complaints, maintaining traceability and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Promoting health, safety and compliance, reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and raw material assurance within a manufacturing environment
• Confidence conducting audits and applying QMS, GMP and HACCP requirements
• Ability to assess raw materials and packaging against specifications with a high level of accuracy
• Experience managing supplier non-conformances and supporting root cause analysis
• Strong analytical skills to monitor KPIs and identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Clear and confident communication skills when working with internal teams and suppliers
• A hands-on, practical approach with a strong presence in operational environments
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
