The Compleat Food Group is hiring a Raw Materials Planner for the Poole site in Dorset. You will ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging to meet production plans, working closely with planning and NPD teams.

Role focuses on MRP execution, supplier PO creation, and inventory management. Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills are essential for success in this busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous background in inventory management/materials planning.
• Manufacturing/Food Manufacturing experience advantageous.
• Understand the planning process and the impact on raw materials planning.
• Strong Interpersonal skills and good numerical ability.

Responsibilities

• Execute the MRP process daily and weekly to align with production plans.
• Create and assign Purchase Orders for suppliers using ERP systems.
• Manage inventory levels, monitor use-by dates and initiate replenishment.
• Build strong supplier relationships and resolve issues to meet requirements.
• Escalate issues to Inventory Manager when necessary.
• Collaborate with Planning and NPD teams to develop production plans.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
• Conduct occasional supplier visits to understand processes.

We're thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Raw Materials Planner to join our Planning team, based at our newly expanded fried manufacturing site in Poole, Dorset!

Poole, Dorset - BH15

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 8:30 - 17:00, Friday, 8:30 - 16:00

Salary:

£32,000

Purpose:

To ensure that the call off raw materials and packaging are executed and made available at the right time, in the right place and in the right quantity to meet our production plans and schedules.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Responsible for executing the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process on a daily and weekly basis to ensure production planning and scheduling requirements are met.
• Creating and assign Purchase Orders for all suppliers, using relevant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Inventory management responsibility including identifying missing materials, monitoring use by dates and requesting new items adhering to inventory level and production plan
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with suppliers, resolving issues to meet requirements
• Escalation of all issues to Inventory Manager when necessary
• Work closely with Planning and NPD teams to create production plans and fulfil customer demand
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ad hoc visits to suppliers to understand their process
