Job summary

Deutsche Bank in London is seeking a Rates Trading AI Specialist (Analyst/Associate) to join the Corporate Derivatives Desk. You will leverage AI to improve trade screening, record-keeping, profitability analysis and capital optimisation within a fast-paced rates environment.

The role collaborates with Sales and Structuring on pricing, supports FTP/day-1 policy considerations, and develops Front Office AI use cases to enhance trading, risk management and client delivery.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Methods or related field.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve productivity and workflows with ethical use of data and AI outputs.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Screen new transactions to ensure alignment with client strategy and return hurdles.
• Support pricing with Funds Transfer Pricing and day-1 policy considerations.
• Collaborate with Sales and Structuring on pricing and analyze profitability at client and portfolio levels.
• Develop Front Office use cases where AI improves records of all corporate derivatives transactions.
• Track and document decisions related to client documentation and capital deployment.

The Corporate Derivatives Desk (CDD) is a central product unit within Global Rates Strategy, responsible for optimising capital and overall strategy for the corporate franchise.

You will play a crucial supporting role in ensuring efficient trade screening, robust record-keeping, and insightful profitability and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) management, contributing to the CDD’s objectives of enhancing revenues sustainably with key focus on client strategy and capital optimisation.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist in screening new transactions to ensure alignment with client strategy and defined return hurdles and capital efficiency targets
• Support the CDD in taking into account future regulation, day-1 policy, and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) charges during the pricing process
• Collaborate with Sales and Structuring teams on pricing requests, ensuring all relevant information is captured and analyse the transaction profitability and overall returns at both client and portfolio levels
• Develop Front Office use cases where AI can improve maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all corporate derivatives transactions
• Assist in tracking and documenting decisions related to client documentation, and capital deployment
• Develop Front Office use cases where AI can improve trading, risk management and franchise activities.

Your skills and experience

• Educated to degree level (preferably in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Methods or a related discipline) or equivalent qualification and/or work experience
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders
• Understanding of financial markets, derivatives products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting financial products is a plus
