Job summary

Deutsche Bank in London seeks a Vice President for Corporate and Private Bank Strat to join Group Strategic Analytics. You will develop scalable pricing and risk models that connect Front Office, Credit Risk and Finance to drive efficiency.

You will apply quantitative analytics, pricing and portfolio modelling to optimise funding costs, deposits, loans and capital allocation across the Bank's businesses, while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient programming in C++ and Python is required.
  • Understanding of funding, banking markets and capital usage.
  • Experience with interest rate or credit risk modelling.
  • Experience driving capital efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Model and manage funding costs and funds transfer pricing.
  • Price deposits and loans using funding costs and capital hurdles.
  • Design incentive structures for resource consumption and allocation.
  • Coordinate across Front Office, Credit Risk and Finance for resource calculations.
  • Support building and calibrating credit risk capital models with historical data.
  • Provide quantitative analytics and pricing expertise for loan and mortgage portfolios.

Position Overview

Group Strategic Analytics is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

Strats combine expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing and risk management with deep understanding of system architecture and programming. Their primary output is a scalable and flexible Front Office pricing and risk management system. The technology platform underlies the trading functions of the Bank as well as management processes around the rational allocation of constrained resources, management of funding costs and capital efficiency programs. You will join the team with the responsibility of Corporate and Private Bank Strat.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Modelling and managing funding costs and funds transfer pricing, moving to a portfolio funding model
  • Pricing deposits and loans based on funding costs and capital hurdles
  • Design incentive structures for businesses around financial resource consumption, allocation, and capital optimisation
  • Drive alignment across Front Office, Credit Risk Management, and Finance for financial resource calculations
  • Assist and support in building and calibrating credit risk capital models using historical default and recovery data
  • Provide trading desks expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing, and management of loan and mortgage portfolios
Your Skills And Experience
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong computing and programming skills, including C++ and Python experience
  • Understanding of funding or banking businesses and markets
  • Experience with interest rate risk or credit risk modelling
  • Experience with managing capital efficiency
