Job Title Rates and Credit Senior Full-Stack Engineer

You will play a key role in the transformation of Rates and Credit Fixed Income front-office technology landscape. As part of our multi-year platform modernisation project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance React applications supporting various trading workflows for our growing business. You will be involved in architecting solutions across the stack, encouraging best practices and working closely with Business stakeholders to build a maintainable, operationally efficient and scalable platform to last the next decade.

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop modern, real-time, high-performance React applications to support core rates and credit trading workflows

  • Drive full-stack solution design – collaborate with backend engineers to design and deliver end-to-end solutions

  • Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows and rapidly deliver impactful features that improve business efficiency

  • Champion engineering best practices – promote best practices in front-end architecture, testing, CI/CD and code quality. Participate in code reviews to ensure high engineering standards across the team

  • Contribute to platform modernisation and strategy – play an important role in the modernisation of the fixed income tech stack by influencing platform direction and driving adoption of modern tooling and frameworks

Your skills and experience

  • Expertise in React and TypeScript – proven experience building complex, high-performance applications using modern front-end tooling (e.g. vite, nx, playwright)

  • Strong full-stack engineering background – solid understanding of backend integrations, messaging, RESTful APIs, WebSockets and experience working with backend services (preferably Java)

  • Experience in real-time, data-driven applications – familiarity with building low-latency, event-driven UIs for trading or financial systems, handling real-time updates, large data sets and performance optimisations
