This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Rare-cancer team who shares our vision to provide consistently outstanding care and service to our patients.
You will gain a valuable insight into supporting patients at diagnosis and through the cancer pathway, including during & post treatment and when disease recurs or advances.
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist with advanced communication skills to specialise in rare cancer. You should have a non-medical prescribing qualification and experience in prescribing, be caring and self-motivated to join this busy service.
Our Rare Cancer team supports patients with Sarcomas and neuro-endocrine tumours. For more information, it is recommended that any interested candidates discuss the job role in detail with the current Rare Cancer CNS team.
The ideal candidate will have significant oncology experience and have previously worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), but we would also consider applicants who are Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) in Oncology.
You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a specialist unit. You will provide holistic support, education, and specialist advice to patients, carers, and health professionals. You will need to be able to work autonomously as well as be part of a team.
This is a great opportunity to develop your experience as a cancer CNS in a tertiary cancer centre.
