Job summary

Overview

To assist colleagues within the Soft Services Department to providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and colleagues, in line with the Trust’s Standards and the National Cleaner Hospitals Programme.

Working on a rota - Monday - Sunday between 6am - 10pm (including bank holidays).

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general cleaning duties in line with the Trust’s standards and the National Cleaner Hospitals Programme.
  • Perform deep cleaning within the Trust following outbreaks of infectious illness, dirty protests, terminal cleaning of vacated isolation rooms and in areas which have undergone maintenance.
  • Operate specialist decontamination equipment such as Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour equipment.
  • Work as part of a team trained to respond to cleaning needs across the Trust.
  • Drive Company Vehicles throughout the GMMH footprint (driving responsibilities are necessary).
  • Training on machinery will be provided.
Qualifications
  • You must hold a full clean UK Driving License.
  • Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry is essential.
