• Annual deep cleaning of hospitals and clinics, including all rooms, furniture, fixtures, and floors.
• Reactive decontamination following infectious discharges, such as UV and fogging treatments.

The post holder will provide efficient housekeeping services, responding rapidly to departmental and Trust needs.

We offer both full-time and part-time positions at Harefield Hospital.

Job responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reactive tasks, including deployment of HPV and UV-C decontamination in clinical/non-clinical areas.
• Vacuuming, dusting, damp mopping, machine buffing, and spray cleaning of floors and furniture.
• Cleaning toilets, sinks, baths, showers, urinals, and removing bodily fluids as per procedures.
• Disposing of waste safely and correctly.
• Replenishing consumables like towels, soap, and toilet rolls.
• Using heavy-duty cleaning equipment, including steam cleaners and floor machines.
• Reporting defects or faults.
• Staying contactable during shifts and responding to emergency requests.
• Maintaining records of activities and data input.
• Managing stock levels and reporting needs.
• Following infection control, health & safety protocols.
• Assisting with store and equipment movement.
• Performing other cleaning duties as required.

• Taking reasonable care to avoid accidents or injuries.
