Job description

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Range Manager to join our Support Centre team in our High Wycombe or Watford office.

Reporting to the Head of Range, you will create and maintain retail planograms. You will also manage the range strategy process and deliver the range calendar in consultation with suppliers, retailers, and buyers to provide the best consumer offer for the brand. The Range team works cross-functionally to support various parts of the business.

Role training will be arranged at the Watford and High Wycombe offices, with flexibility for remote work to be discussed.

1. Micro space planning using Space Planning software.
2. Develop relationships with Buyers, Retail team, Supply Chain, Retailers, and Customers to inform range and space decisions.
3. Influence Store Development team to ensure macro allocation aligns with consumer behavior and store layout performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
4. Stay updated with competitors and new developments to keep the category plan relevant.
5. Analyze data and consumer insights to determine product space allocation and placement.
6. Develop and implement best practices in range and space management policies, processes, and guidelines.
7. Build simple, effective planograms that excite customers and drive sales.

Minimum Requirements:

• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in range or merchandising in a head office environment, ideally within FMCG or Retail.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Analytical skills, especially working with product data.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with space planning software such as Spaceman, JDA, or similar is highly desirable.
