Your tasks

Job Purpose:
You will work in the Ramp Operations Team, ensuring high-performance standards in passenger baggage handling and aircraft turnaround.

You should demonstrate a hardworking, adaptable attitude and thrive in a dynamic workplace. Experience in aviation, customer service, and airside operations is advantageous.

Main Responsibilities & Objectives:
  1. Adhere to CAA, DfT, airline, airport, and company procedures.
  2. Accurately sort outbound passenger baggage.
  3. Lead aircraft turnaround activities, including aircraft arrival, baggage offload/load, and departure.
  4. Operate Ground Service Equipment safely and efficiently.
  5. Perform preventative maintenance, including FOD removal and GSE checks.
  6. Assist with baggage loading/unloading issues, keeping team leaders informed.
  7. Work cohesively with the team to maximize operational efficiency.
  8. Coordinate with other departments to ensure high service standards.
  9. Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
  10. Meet or exceed airline service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  11. Address performance variances promptly and honestly.
  12. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, HSE, airlines, airports, and company procedures.
  13. Perform all tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely within time constraints.

Work hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • GSE operation training
  • Skills in Push Backs and Headset Communications (preferred)
  • Hardworking, flexible, team player, able to work on a 24-hour roster
  • Minimum 12 months ramp experience
Must be able to:
  • Provide a continuous 5-year history of work and activities
  • Have been a UK resident for the past 5 years
  • Obtain a clear DBS certificate
