About the OCFO Team:
The Own Controlled Flight Operations (OCFO) team at Maersk is responsible for managing and optimizing our air cargo & charter operations. This team ensures the efficient and effective movement of goods through our own-controlled freighter network, leveraging advanced technologies and real-time data to enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and customer satisfaction. The OCFO team plays a critical role in supporting Maersk's strategic goals and ensuring the company's air cargo operations are top-notch.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ramp & Quality Control Supervisor to join our team at Liege Airport. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supervising and optimizing warehouse and ramp processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining high operational standards. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in cargo handling, supplier engagement, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Warehouse & Ramp processes, including cargo arrival timing, ULD build-up, screening, loading, and messaging during imports.
- Oversee Warehouse & Ramp performance, ensuring completeness and integrity of shipments and flight operations during spot checks.
- Report non-compliance, damages, and quality improvements in Warehouse & Ramp operations.
- Monitor warehouse inflow and outflow (actual vs. target), including trucking loading and unloading.
- Oversee ULD build-up/break-down processes, including ramp handling and loading/unloading, with strict adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct spot checks to identify and report irregularities in warehouse and ramp operations.
- Provide support for ULD management to ensure smooth handling.
- Manage and maintain 24/7 operations to uphold service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Experience in airline, freight forwarding, and/or cargo handling operations.
- Direct airline or loadmaster knowledge/experience is an advantage.
- Interest in supplier engagement and relationship building.
- Customer-focused with structured and efficient working methods.
- Strong team player with collaborative skills.
- French-speaking is a plus.
- Residing near Liege or willing to relocate to the vicinity of Liege Airport.
