It will be a busy operation but we go further to ensure we maintain a high standard of safety and service as we put our customers at the centre of our operations. Your tasks

Job Purpose: You will be working in the Ramp Operations Team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-performance standards in the provision of the smooth, timely and accurate processing of passenger baggage and aircraft turnaround. You should be able to demonstrate a hardworking, adaptable attitude and be able to thrive on variety in the workplace. A demonstrable background in the aviation industry, Customer Service and Airside exposure would be an asset.

Main Responsibilities & Objectives:

  • Complete processes and activities, in accordance with both CAA and DfT regulations and Airline(s), Airport(s) and company procedures.
  • Perform accurate and efficient sortation of outbound passenger baggage.
  • Take active involvement in all Aircraft Turnaround processes (including but not limited to aircraft arrival, baggage offload, baggage onload, aircraft departure) as instructed by Ramp Team Leader.
  • Safe and efficient operation of Ground Service Equipment.
  • Regular preventative maintenance within the operational environment (including but not limited to removal of FOD, Ground Service Equipment checks/cleaning).
  • Provide assistance and input to any baggage loading/unloading problems with accuracy and efficiency ensuring Team Leaders are kept informed.
  • Work cohesively as part of the team to maximise co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
  • Liaise and work together with other departments to ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task as requested by Line Management or Team Leader.
  • Ensure all Airline Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded
  • Ensure that all Key Performance Indicators are met or exceeded
  • All performance variances must be actioned promptly and honestly to ensure the integrity of the Skytanking Group.
  • Compliance of all Regulatory Bodies, HSE, Airline(s) Airports(s) and company procedures.
  • Ability to perform all tasks with accuracy, efficiency and in a safe manner within defined time constraints

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Ideally skilled to carry out push backs and headsets communications (Desirable)
  • Hard working, team player, flexible, able to work on a 24hr roster pattern
  • Ramp experience, trained to operate equipment, i.e Hi-Lo, Pushback etc (Desirable)

Must be able to :

  • without exception, provide a 5-year history (with no gaps) including work and none work activities.
  • Have been a UK resident for the last 5 years
  • Would you be able to acquire a clear DBS certificate?
