Job description

Queensbridge School is looking to recruit a strong Raising Achievement Assistant who will share our determination to transform the life chances of our 900 pupils.

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen, and we are seeking to strengthen and expand our SEND team. You should have a solid level of education and a genuine desire to make a difference by supporting pupils through the academic challenge of the 9 to 1 examination system.

You will be responsible for identifying students in greatest need of reading interventions, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating programmes to enable them to make rapid progress and access the curriculum.

About the Role:

  1. Plan and maintain a schedule of reading assessments to accurately determine students’ current reading ages.
  2. Analyze reading test data to identify students requiring targeted interventions to support curriculum access.
  3. Organize and oversee 9-week intervention cycles, including monitoring and evaluating their effectiveness.
  4. Ensure staff delivering reading interventions are well-trained and equipped with necessary resources.
