Carlisle Support Services is seeking a Railway Security Officer to provide a visible, reassuring presence across the rail network, patrolling stations and trains, engaging with the public, and supporting rail staff and police to deter crime and manage incidents.

Qualifications

• Clean, valid UK Driving Licence required for position.
• Previous security experience is beneficial, training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence across the rail network to promote passenger safety.
• Patrolling stations and trains and engaging with the public.
• Supporting vulnerable passengers and working with rail staff and British Transport Police to deter crime and manage incidents.
• Ensuring a safe travel environment for all and responding to incidents calmly.
• Be a smart, approachable security presence and a first point of contact for customers.
• Follow safety and security processes and procedures, and build strong team relationships.
• Cover shifts including annual leave, sickness, and extra requests as needed.
