Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions Ltd seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support high-profile MEP buildings serving railway operations. Based in Birmingham with hybrid working, the 3-month initial contract offers potential extensions and strong project pipeline.

You will review HV/LV distribution, lighting, CMS, fire alarms, and building services, coordinating with designers and subcontractors to ensure timely, compliant designs. Fluent English and extensive experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; chartership preferred.
• 10+ years' electrical engineering experience in construction environments.
• 5+ years delivering multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety-by-design principles and regulations.
• Review and coordinate electrical designs from designers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage technical reviews and approvals with stakeholders, including CAT checks.
• Coordinate HV/LV, lighting, CMS, fire alarms, earthing and building services.
• Lead meetings, coordinate interfaces and support O&M reviews.
