Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of rail communication systems design and usage
• Learn to produce detailed designs using tools such as Visio and AutoCAD
• Assist with project delivery, manage risks, and ensure safety compliance
• Interface with operational departments and liaise with clients

Candidate Profile

• No prior experience required; full training provided
• Strong attention to detail, planning, and organization skills
• Positive work ethic and initiative

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 GCSEs grades 9 to 4, including Maths, English, and Science or IT
• A-Level or equivalent in Maths or Engineering (desirable but not essential)
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Over 18 by September 2025
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to pass pre-employment drugs and alcohol test

Programme Details

• Duration: 30 months
• Starting salary: £17,500, increasing during the programme
• Qualification: Level 3 Rail Engineering Design Technician
• Location: Mainly remote with site visits in Warwick and client sites
• Post-apprenticeship: Potential full-time position at Telent
