Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a dynamic Site Manager/Agent for a long-term rail sector contract. The role blends office-based planning with hands-on site works, covering UTX, URX, troughing, REB's and drainage tasks.

You will progress from labourer/groundworker to supervisory roles, read engineering drawings, supervise staff, liaise with clients, and ensure safety and productivity across locations as projects require.

Qualifications

• Experience in Rail Civils as a Sub Agent, Site Manager, or Site Agent.
• Understanding of engineering principles, including levels and gradients.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexible approach to work locations and project demands.

Responsibilities

• Manage site works efficiently and effectively.
• Act as the primary point of contact on-site, liaising with clients and providing regular updates.
• Oversee rail works including UTX, URX, troughing, REB's, and drainage works.
• Understand and interpret engineering drawings and principles to ensure accurate execution of works.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Supervise site staff and ensure high standards of safety and productivity.
• Coordinate office-based tasks related to site management.
• Maintain flexibility to work across various locations as projects demand.
