Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Site Agent to oversee a new Rail bridge project in Portsmouth. The role requires a Rail background and experience working for a Principal Contractor or Tier 1 main contractor.

Key duties include managing Subcontractors and engineering staff, cost control, programme delivery with short-term look-ahead schedules, enforcing RAMS and safety, and ensuring quality against drawings and ITPs. Outside IR35 CIS/LTD rates apply.

Qualifications

• Rail background required for the role.
• Experience working for a PC or Tier 1 main contractor is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractors and site engineers on the rail bridge project.
• Track costs, plant hire, and materials; record scope variations.
• Drive short-term programmes and monitor daily output against the master schedule.
• Enforce RAMS, inductions, and industry safety regulations.
• Ensure quality against drawings and implement ITPs.
