Job summary

Network Rail is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Works Delivery within the Southern Regional Enterprise. You will deliver a portfolio of signalling projects and provide a consistent, high‑quality project management service with clear visibility through monitoring and reporting.

You will lead multi‑disciplinary teams, ensure CDM compliance, manage risks and stakeholders, and align with PACE and Network Rail standards, placing safety at the heart of every decision.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
• Member of the Association for Project Management or working towards chartered status.
• In depth knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at all levels.
• Experience in leading multi-disciplinary project teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong budget management and ability to interpret financial landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a portfolio of signalling projects safely, on time and to quality.
• Lead and develop specialist teams to meet route objectives.
• Ensure CDM compliance and manage regulatory requirements.
• Direct multi-disciplinary teams to identify solutions and maintain robust project baselines.
• Plan resource requirements and manage current and future work banks.
• Prepare and maintain project definitions and business cases with clients.
• Manage stakeholders and govern project reviews and progress evaluations.
• Implement change control with clients and contractors per NR processes.
• Support accident investigations when required.
