Job summary

Siemens Mobility is offering a 12-month placement in the UK, providing hands-on experience on real signalling projects and the chance to engage with diverse teams. You’ll gain practical engineering exposure and develop business skills through structured development activities and coaching.

You will work on innovative rail technology solutions, applying your university learning, and collaborating across departments to improve safety, efficiency and sustainability in rail transport.

Qualifications

• Be on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Engineering or Technology related degree.
• Logical thinking, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change.
• Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Put your university learning into practice by supporting the development and delivery of innovative rail technology solutions on real signalling projects.
• Collaborate with a range of teams and stakeholders, gaining insight into how technology solutions are developed, tested and continually improved.
• Build your digital and problem-solving skills by contributing to technology-led solutions that shape the rail industry.
• Gain hands-on experience of systems engineering, learning how engineering processes can help manage risk, improve efficiency and support successful project delivery.
