Job summary

Amey is seeking a Construction Manager – Rail Signalling to join our Eastern and Southern team on-site at multiple locations. The role focuses on supervising signalling construction works, coordinating resources, and delivering programmes while ensuring compliance with safety and contract requirements.

You will support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in safe delivery, attend site regularly (including nights), and manage sub-contractors and direct labour to achieve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering signalling construction projects across multidisciplinary interfaces (Track, Civils, OLE, E&P, Telecoms).
• Ability to read and interpret P6 programmes and project plans.
• Desirable IRSE license and safety qualifications (NEBOSH/IOSH/CITB SMSTS).
• Understanding of CDM requirements and AMP process.
• Driving licence and willingness to work irregular hours/site nights.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in safe, efficient delivery of allocated contracts.
• Supervise and coordinate construction activities; manage resources, costs and programme delivery.
• Produce site records and planning documentation to enable progress tracking.
• Order and receipt of site deliverables; ensure timely goods receipts.
• Supervise subcontractors and direct labour on site.
