Job summary

Amey seeks a Permanent Construction Manager – Rail Signalling to lead site supervision on signalling projects in the Eastern and Southern regions, based at Bedford or Doncaster. 37.5 hours weekly, on-site with regular site attendance including nights.

You will support the Project Manager and Principal Construction Manager to safely deliver allocated contracts, coordinating resources, costs and programme delivery to meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Signalling construction delivery across multidisciplinary interfaces (Track, Civils, OLE, E&P, Telecoms).
• Ability to read P6 programmes.
• IRSE license desirable.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely and/or CITB SMSTS.
• Understanding CDM and AMP processes.
• PTS and Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide support during tenders with methodologies, pricing and programmes for Signalling construction works.
• Produce risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Provide information to planning teams for accurate site paperwork.
• Prepare resource schedules, Work Package Plans, Task Briefings and permits.
• Order and receive site deliverables and process goods receipts using Amey systems.
• Submit accurate site records to monitor programme and cost plans.
• Supervise subcontractors, contract staff and direct labour on site activities.
