Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support a major rail infrastructure programme in the South East. The role involves developing cost estimates from outline designs, shaping budgets and business cases, and providing pre-contract commercial input across Civils and M&E assets.

The role is hybrid, with two days in the Central London office and travel to sites as required. You will work with design, commercial, and project teams to ensure NEC contract compliance and effective

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong estimating and pre-contract commercial experience.
• Ability to interpret designs and develop cost estimates.
• Experience across Civils and M&E projects.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates from outline designs.
• Develop project budgets and support business cases.
• Provide commercial input during the pre-contract stage.
• Support procurement and tender activities.
• Review contractor quotations and cost submissions.
• Cost forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Collaborate across Civils and M&E asset projects and support project teams.
