Overview

First Military Recruitment is working with a company seeking a Project Engineer with a Rail and Signalling background on a permanent basis due to growth. The role is flexible in location within the UK, with weekly travel to Hamilton, Scotland.

The Project Engineer will be part of the project team, managing technical and engineering activities for Signalling, and coordinating with Signalling Design CREs as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure signalling construction complies with standards, legislation, and specifications.
• Assess the competence of personnel involved in Signalling activities.
• Participate in IDC meetings to coordinate construction interfaces.
• Coordinate with team members, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Work with the Project Manager to meet cost targets.
• Support the preparation of target costs.
• Ensure safe and successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and take corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare Work Package Plans, Task Briefings, and Risk Assessments.
• Conduct site surveys.

Additional Details:

Salary: £60,000 + £5,000 car allowance.
