Job summary

Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is recruiting a hands-on Technician - Rail Management at Singlewell to support a Team Leader and help maintain rail infrastructure safely and efficiently. This safety-critical role involves inspections, faulting, maintenance and renewals across HS1 assets.

In this role you will lead when required, direct activities safely, and ensure staff competencies and safe working practices. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing safe systems of work.
  • Ability to organise and deliver safe, efficient maintenance.
  • Promote safe working behaviours within a team.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of rail maintenance, faulting and renewal techniques.
  • Understanding of relevant standards, procedures and instructions.

  • A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Support a Team Leader and assist with maintenance activities.
  • Help ensure work is delivered safely and in line with standards.
  • Participate in inspections, faulting, maintenance and renewals.
  • Step up to lead when required, directing activities safely.
  • Ensure staff hold the appropriate competencies and resources are fit for purpose.
