Job summary

Vital Human Resources is recruiting Lineside Civils & De-Vegetation Operatives to support ongoing rail projects across the UK. The role involves vegetation management, drainage, and trackside maintenance with flexible shifts and long-term opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have PTS and Sentinel, rail experience, and a commitment to safety. PAYE options and career progression are available through the recruiting team.

Qualifications

• Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification and Sentinel card.
• Experience working in or near rail environments with a good understanding of trackside conditions.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a rail infrastructure environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety standards at all times.
• Willingness and ability to work away from home during weekend shifts as required.
• Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable) / Preferably own vehicle]

Responsibilities

• Carry out lineside civils works including drainage, troughing, cable routes, fencing and general infrastructure maintenance.
• Undertake vegetation clearance and management activities in accordance with project specifications.
• Safely operate vegetation management equipment and small tools.
• Install and maintain trackside access systems where required.
• Work collaboratively with site teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Comply with all rail safety, environmental and operational procedures.
