Job summary

Network Rail in the United Kingdom is seeking a Planning Assistant (Infrastructure Maintenance) on a 6-month secondment/FTC to support the NSC wagon maintenance fleet, assist with network wire requests, and publish the plan.

You will help plan and deliver non-allocated wagons, book rail deliveries and modular S&C operators, and contribute to quality and efficiency improvements. Knowledge of railway geography and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of relevant railway geography and network capability.
• Knowledge of relevant train services and network capacity.
• Able to work under pressure within a continuous planning process.
• Good communication skills and a customer focussed approach

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and delivery of NSC wagon maintenance fleet
• Assist with network wire requests and publication of the plan
• Assist with the planning and delivery of the non allocated wagons
• Assist with network wire requests
• Assist with the booking of rail delivery and modular S&C operators
• Assist in the identification and implementation of quality and efficiency improvements.
