Job summary

GTS Group Ltd. is seeking experienced HVAC Systems Engineers to support a number of rail and rolling stock projects across the UK.

The role accepts both contract and permanent appointments, with salary or day-rate negotiable depending on experience and project requirements. Candidates should have direct HVAC systems experience, ideally within rail or rolling stock, and a proven ability to work on design, development, testing and validation activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years direct experience in HVAC Systems Engineering.
• Experience in rail, rolling stock or related engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC system architecture and operation.
• Experience with system engineering, integration, testing or validation.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• HVAC system design and development.
• Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.
• HVAC equipment and component engineering.
• Thermal management and performance analysis.
• System requirements and technical specifications.
• HVAC system integration.
• Testing, commissioning and validation.
• Fault investigation and technical problem solving.
• Engineering change and configuration management.
• Technical documentation and reporting.
• Working closely with wider rolling stock and systems engineering teams.
