Job summary

Hexagon is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join its multidisciplinary rail design team. This structured apprenticeship provides hands-on experience and formal qualifications while working on real UK rail projects.

You will be exposed to multiple engineering disciplines and be part of a team focused on delivering compliant, high-quality design outputs. You will learn CAD through AutoCAD, Revit and related tools, and gain experience with Tekla/InfoDrainage software as you

Qualifications

• A-Levels grade A-C (or equivalent), including Maths and Science.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; eager to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Attend university course and complete training requirements.
• Learn to use CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Civils 3D, Navisworks, Recap).
• Assist with the design of highways, drainage, and site infrastructure to standards.
• Produce drawings, risk assessments, calculations, reports and technical docs.
• Support and mentor junior team members and participate in design meetings.
