Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join the Earthworks Team, delivering civil engineering projects on the rail network across the Wessex Route. The role supports projects from our Basingstoke or Blackfriars offices with travel to sites within the region.

You will lead earthworks delivery, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with Network Rail standards while prioritising safety and quality. A UK driving licence and relevant certs are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent or Senior Engineer on infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering earthworks, slope stabilization, embankments or soil nails.
• SMSTS, CSCS, PTS and a full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and successful projects across the Wessex Route (London to Exeter).
• Lead multidisciplinary earthworks teams and manage subcontractors.
• Plan, programme and monitor progress to meet milestones and budgets.
• Maintain a relentless focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
