Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Rail Systems Project Manager in West London to support the early development and NEC3 contract management of major railway infrastructure projects. This hands-on role focuses on heavy contract administration, project controls, warnings, compensation events, monthly reporting, and programme management, joining a small core team.

You'll work on the early stages of HS2 systems works, taking a proactive approach and contributing on-site four days a week with one day

Are you a Rail Systems Project Manager with experience supporting the NEC contracts management and early-stage development of railway infrastructure projects?

Contract Rate: £500-550/day DOE - Inside IR35 via Umbrella

Location: West London - 4 days in the project site office, 1 day working from home.

Contract Length: Rolling 6-month contract.

Role Details:

My client is a leading main contractor on major HS2 systems works, looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the Head of PMO. This is a hands‑on 'doer' role with a primary focus on heavy contract administration and project controls. You will be joining the early stages of a major project, pre-design, responsible for managing early warnings, compensation events, monthly reporting, and program management. You will be part of a small, core team and must be prepared to be actively involved in the work, not just delegate.
