Job description

Compliance Coordinator

Location: North of England

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday / FTC, 6 months

What you’ll do:

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all activities, processes, and systems adhere to legal regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies. This role involves maintaining quality standards, supporting audits, facilitating communication, managing data, and ensuring the seamless execution of compliance-related activities across various teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assurance Reporting: Oversee and implement assurance procedures to maintain compliance with Network Rail standards and GC procedures. Track and analyze data for continuous improvement and highlight discrepancies.
  2. Audits and Inspections: Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  3. Compliance Management: Ensure all activities align with industry regulations, company procedures, and planning processes. Collaborate with the rail planning team and wider infrastructure teams to maintain compliance.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  5. Systems and Data Management: Use various systems to gather, collate, and manage large volumes of data. Provide clear, actionable data for Contract Managers, Commercial Managers, and leadership teams.
  6. Administration: Manage inboxes, handle project updates, and oversee administrative tasks and document management.
  7. Client Reporting: Provide weekly updates and necessary documentation to the organization, supporting project progress and client expectations. Prepare reports on assurance, compliance, and key metrics.
  8. Communication: Write, edit, and distribute content for channels like press releases, newsletters, websites, and social media.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt plans accordingly.
  • Strong attention to detail in data reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, suppliers, and teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, financial systems, and Microsoft Office.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • PPS and Rail Hub knowledge.
  • Understanding of Network Rail planning processes and safety standards.
