Job summary

Mace, a leading integrated construction and consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Rail team in London. You will play a key role in managing commercial performance, value delivery, and guiding project outcomes across complex rail schemes.

Collaborating with project managers, planners and cost teams, you’ll drive contract management, forecasts, and compensation events, while maintaining Network Rail standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major rail infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support from pre-contract to final account.
• Administer contracts ensuring governance compliance.
• Support compensation events, change control, and variations.
• Monitor costs, forecasts, cash flow, and commercial performance.
• Prepare and present commercial reports to senior stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
