Job summary

Babcock, a global defence and infrastructure services company, is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to support the Civils Design team on rail infrastructure projects in the UK. You will produce drawings, assist with surveys and engineering information management, and support engineers across a range of projects.

Qualifications

• Practical CAD experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, construction or related projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD for the creation and revision of engineering drawings.
• Experience supporting engineers with technical documentation, reports and design-related activities.
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with engineers and project teams.
• Experience delivering work to programme deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Producing and updating CAD drawings and 3D models for rail infrastructure projects.
• Supporting Design Engineers with technical documentation, reports and project deliverables.
• Assisting with surveys, data collection and engineering information management.
• Checking drawings and documentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely and on schedule.
