Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting for Cleaning Operatives in Coventry to maintain high standards on our clients’ premises. You will be part of a team, learn new skills through full training, and gain ongoing support to succeed in a busy environment.

Key duties include cleaning train interiors, toilets, floors, and surfaces, with attention to COSHH and safety guidelines. Candidates should be reliable, flexible, and prepared to work in varying conditions across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning environments and working in a team.
• Reliable and flexible with a professional appearance.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning train interiors to the required WMT Presentation standards.
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets.
• Hoovering floors and seating areas.
• Litter picking and emptying waste bins.
• Wiping and cleaning tables, seats, windows and other interior surfaces.
• Mopping floors where required.
• Replenishing toilet and cleaning consumables.
• Carrying out cleaning tasks within the allocated time to ensure trains are ready for passenger service.
• Reporting any defects, damage, safety concerns or issues identified during cleaning.
